Synergies Worldwide taps ex-Li & Fung exec as new CEO
Global supply chain and management firm Synergies Worldwide has named former Li & Fung executive Guido Schlossmann as its new President and CEO, as founder Munir Mashooqullah retires after 28 years.
Schlossmann will lead the company from its newly relocated Bangkok, Thailand head office, and takes over the reins as the company hails 2015 as its “best year”.
His experience includes top management positions in global sourcing and supply chain management in Germany, China, Bangladesh, Turkey, Hong Kong, and Thailand for US and European-based fashion, apparel, and sportswear customer – including Kaufhof, Kaufring, Eurocentra, and Polymax United Manufacturers Group, a German investment enterprise that specialises in garment manufacturing, trading and consulting.
In 2003, Schlossmann joined Li & Fung as general manager in Hong Kong, where he worked for more than a year before being promoted to senior vice president based in Istanbul, Turkey for nearly seven years. He most recently spent five years as executive vice president for global apparel business with Li & Fung.
